OSB Virtual Club Dance Mixes Flyer
Now you miss them. Some of those songs define the dance mixes of the 80s. Remember the name Steve Masters? Yeah, the guy on Live 105 in San Francisco that started a little dance show at 8pm then later convinced the station to go all dance mixes. And the Alternative format was born. But heah, if you didn't like rap in the mid-late 80s, there wasn't much else. Pop had sold out. And the modern rock/alternative scene was born from the college stations of the Bay Area copied by the commerical stations to form a unique combo that was all killed by the Grundge scene.
So how do I get this fabulous CD?
Well, I'm looking for it on-line right now. Current info to look it up is: Released 1994, Sony Music Special Products.
It is currently available in the South Bay Area at Musicland in Vallco Fashion Mall. You can pick it up for $8.99. They found a box full of 50, and one of the sales people loves it so much they have it up front near the register. So, a time capsule in the back room has brought more of OSB alive for us. (Of course, it makes me wonder how many other back rooms have lost 80s tunes.)
