mIRC #mylene Paris 99 Meeting

	AHH..Paris. My hometown...well at least the second hometown I've lived in besides the Bay Area in good ole' California. Having resided there for 3 months, I knew the city well enough to blow in for two days, hang out with the MIRC #mylene gang, and see Mylene live for the first time. I won't even mention the jetlag....since there is a 9 hour difference between California and Paris. But I must say...even that was worth it to see her LIVE!
I arrived in Paris about 8:00am, and needed to stay awake even though it was only about 11pm to me. SO, I checked in to my hotel...The NOVOTEL, right next to the Bercy Stadium. I could see all the people lined up, sleeping in sleeping bags, constructing tarps for the soon to come rain. After, decided to set off and looked for the IBIS Bercy where most of the #mylene gang was going to meet up.	After finding the Ibis, I left a note for Aurujo and Zaffy, and actually met up with Zaffy in the lobby. I found out that the meeting would be at 6pm that night, and chatted a bit with the Greek chickie I'd been hanging with on mIRC for the last few months. Mulder was with her as well, and mentioned I'd see them both as I went off to see some of the city I love so much.
So off to Notre Dame I go, and than to lunch in the Latin Quarter. I mean, after all, I was there for only 2 days. I was planning to see as many of my favorite haunts as possible.Finally the jet lag got to me, and I went back to my hotel for a quick nap before the meeting at 6pm.
Artic(NL),Sandwell(UK),Marcie(UK)	At the meeting in the IBIS cafe/bar, it was great to finally see all the faces and voices connected to internet handles I've seen for the last several months.
T-shirts were made up by Giant for a mere 50ff each. Lighters were gifts of the heart for free, and of course the badges by Aurujo. I must say, I was impressed. And everyone was so excited and friendly to see each other.

Needless to say..the meeting on Friday was a success. Lot's of people shared memories of past meetings and got to make new friends. Than the lucky bunch went off to the Friday concert, while a pack of the rest of us without tickets went out to dinner.		Rousakine and Bundle sharing a pose for the camera.
