mIRC #mylene Paris 99 Meeting--page 2

The mIRC #mylene group not at the Friday show heading for some grub.	So, the group of us without tickets headed off to St. Michel area for dinner. We took the new fly 14th line on the metro, which when I looked at my 7 year old metro map, was like lost in trying to find the 14th line. Dah, like they wouldn't build a new line sometime.

We all had a good visit, eating in one of those famous outdoor cafes. Now if only one time I'd have a nice waiter at one of these places? Anyway, I grew tired around 10:30pm, and headed back to my hotel to rest up for tomorrow's big concert.	The other end of the festivities!
The Virgin Megastore--where many mIRCer's made a field trip.	Well, after a good nights sleep...felt much better. Decided to go tramp around Paris. So after a good French Cafe au lait, went off to pay Jim Morrison my respects in Pere-Lachaise.(For all of you wondering, Jim Morrison is the deceased lead singer of "The Doors". He is the 4th most visited place in Paris. Not bad for an American?) Than off to the Virgin Megastore to pick up what I could of Mylene CDs, books, or videos.	Needless to say, after an hour, I was highly disappointed. All there was to be had were CD dance mixes of her singles, and older albums that I didn't have on CD yet. Even the t-shirts were out, you can thank MC and another mystery male for that. ;-)
I hefted over to Montmartre and Sacred-Coeur, picked up a good bottle of French wine, and headed back to the hotel to get ready for the concert.
Time for the moment I'd been waiting for..the concert!!! It was amazing! When I walked into the stadium, everyone was chanting "Mylene, Mylene, Mylene". Than I saw how close I was with the ticket I'd bought from Sandwell...like 10th like row...4th seat over. I could spit on Mylene, or at least the poor folks smashed down in the floor part of the stadium.	Tiff's lighter that melted during "REGRETS". So after all the fun and frollick, fighting through to buy like everything at the merchandise table(thank god they take credit cards) Tiff had a pretty good time. I left Paris with a meeting t-shirt, badge, lighters, and bag full of Mylene things(program, CDs, photos, concert shirt) and a big smile. Now, if only she'll tour in another 3 years. ;-)
